Caterina received the PhD in Political Science from the European University Institute of Florence (2015) and she is currently a VOX-Pol Research Fellow at the University of Oxford where she works on right-wing extremism and radicalism in a comparative perspective. Previously she was a post-doctoral fellow and instructor at the Centre d'Etudes Européennes of Sciences Po Paris (CEE-CNRS) where she worked on the SOG-PRO project under the supervision of Prof. Philippe Bezes. Caterina’s research is comparative and it develops on two main lines. The first deals with issues related to party government and policy agenda dynamics, and the second deals with the relations between extremism and democracy with a special focus on organisational structures, militancy trajectories and online activism in established and non-established far right organisations. She is a co-convener of the European Consortium of Political Research (ECPR) section on “Populism and Political Extremism”. Her most recent contributions have appeared on Party Politics and the International Journal of Conflict and Violence, as well as a number of edited volumes.
